Wireless Network
"CC-Link IE TSN × Wireless" realizes more advanced manufacturing.
By enhancing the affinity with IP communication, CC-Link IE TSN has enabled the utilization of various Ethernet devices in manufacturing systems. In addition, more and more customers are interested in going wireless.
CLPA is promoting the application of wireless LAN, 5G, and other wireless technologies in the CC-Link IE TSN system to meet the customers' needs.
By integrating CC-Link IE TSN and wireless, we will realize a smart wireless factory by constructing a wireless environment according to the use cases.
Guidelines for Wireless Applications
These guidelines have been developed as a starting point for introducing wireless devices in a wired communication-based CC-Link IE TSN network. We hope these guidelines prove useful in building a mixed network that includes both CC-Link IE TSN and wireless devices.

- Improve maintenance efficiency with wireless from a closer location.
- Wireless LAN/5G support allows control communication to be independent of physical locations.
Certification Categories According to Application
Wireless devices in CC-Link IE TSN are considered in the categories of "information/monitoring applications" and "control applications". The applications in each category are classified according to type and allowable delay time to provide a guideline for selecting wireless devices.
By introducing and utilizing these wireless devices, we aim to build a layout-free smart factory.
- Applications classified as "information/monitoring applications"
- Monitoring equipment status
- Collecting manufacturing data
- Reading device parameters, etc.
- Applications classified as "control applications"
- Remote I/O control
- Movement control for AGVs and drones
- Communication of emergency stop information, etc.
